Suppose you are not finding your favorite shampoo in nearby stores or your online delivery is late. What do you do then? Should you let your hair get dirty till you get your shampoo? This is not a good idea. You should also not try regular shampoos in such scenario because your tenderly cared hair and scalp may suffer from the sudden exposure to these overly strong shampoos. Here we are providing you with the solution- make natural shampoo yourself.
Making natural shampoo is not that difficult. It will take some hassle and will work as only a basic cleanser but it is still a good stop-gap replacement than using regular shampoos or not using any shampoo at all. You basically need two things- baking soda and apple cider vinegar.
Baking soda can work as an excellent cleanser for your hair. The amount of baking soda needed depends on your hair’s length and volume. However, one tablespoon of baking soda in one cup of water is a standard amount. Mix the soda well with the water, leave it for some time and you get your shampoo! Be careful to rinse the mixture thoroughly to your scalp. Rinsing it on the hair will not do that good. To get a cleaner hair by using this mixture you must apply it on the scalp.
Now after you get your shampoo you need to get your conditioner. For that you need apple cider vinegar. Mix the vinegar with water in the same amount as soda- one tablespoon in one cup of water. Shake it up well and use it as you use a conditioner. This will balance out the effect of baking soda and give you fresh, clean hair.
Please note that making shampoo at your home is not a permanent replacement to natural shampoo products. Those natural shampoos available in the market are stronger (but not overwhelmingly stronger) and contains lot many additional items which works to revitalize your hair and clean it thoroughly. So skip the hassle if you can get your favorite shampoo. But, as I said earlier, if you are not getting it for a short period of time for some reason then go for this formula. It will work well for some time.
